French bread will be a hot topic of conversation on the Southern Highlands this year as Paddy Murray holds a number of bread-making courses for interested foodies.

The courses, which cost $120 and include lunch and afternoon tea, cover the history of French bread, the process of making a basic loaf and the natural and history of bakers yeast.

The day includes hands-on tuition and participants will take home their own bread, notes and recipes and some of their own dough to refrigerate and bake the following day.

The courses will be held on March 11, May 6 and June 16 and are part of a number of bread courses this year which also includes sourdough, festive breads and advanced bread making.
